Discomfort Isn't Pain was a mantra that became important to us during the pandemic. Emma had first heard it when she did the same yoga video relentlessly, but it stuck with her as a mantra about strength and resilience.
 
This print features a figure resembling an old classic Roman statue that's a bit rundown to evoke a sense of stillness, surrounded by the titular mantra, and a chaotic distribution of Mondrian-like boxes.
 
Discomfort was a reminder to myself that sometimes sitting in your discomfort pushes you forward and gets you through the hard stuff.
